E. Michael Kilbourn

Imagine the power to give what you have, to whom you want, when you want, in the way you want — and, at the same time, pay the least amount of court costs, attorney’s fees and estate taxes as possible.

Kilbourn Associates can show you how.

We specialize in a unique estate planning approach called “family wealth transfer.” What this does is provide you and your family with the comfort of knowing that everyone’s objectives will be met today and in the future.

Mike Kilbourn, CLU, ChFC, CCIM, AEP, MSFS, president of Kilbourn Associates, Naples, Florida, has over 30 years experience as a family wealth transfer planning specialist and holds over 20 professional designations.

Many people believe estate planning is an expensive and time-consuming process. The truth is, the better prepared you are before you meet with your attorney, the less time and expense will be required. Our team provides an in-depth analysis of your situation and creates a plan that addresses all aspects of your life including retirement funding, taxes, giving, insurance and healthcare.

Mike is a frequent expert guest on several national financial network programs and has contributed or authored numerous books and articles on investment, estate and financial planning topics.

Mike is also the founder and chairman of the Wealth Protection Network®, a national network of estate planning professionals that work in concert to create and manage comprehensive estate plans.

A decorated veteran of Vietnam, Mike Kilbourn earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, four Masters degrees, including a Master of Business Administration – cum laude – from Western Michigan University and a Master of Science in Financial Services from the American College.  Mike is also a Fellow of the Esperti Peterson Institute, an Adjunct Professor of the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Scholastic Honorary Fraternity.

Mike established his estate and wealth strategies practice in the early 1990s after an eighteen-year career in commercial real estate, syndication and real estate securities.  Since he began his practice, he has earned the insurance industry’s prestigious “Top of the Table” award virtually every year.

What clients say about us…

I would easily recommend Mike to anybody who has an interest or problem involving his expertise.

Howard Evans

He really seems to truly care about your life and what you’re doing and how you are doing, which is certainly very different from the run of the mill.

Jean Bingel

I’ve met many of Mike’s clients and business associates, and he treats people in a professional manner, yet almost with a family feeling.

Brit Svoboda

If I were to order another son, I would order someone exactly like Mike. He’s a class “A” act!

John Liuzzo

I promised my wife that, when we turned 65, we would retire and move to Naples. The Florida Domicile Handbook helped me keep that promise…”
